Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare in Uttoxeter is seeking a Bank Scrub Nurse to join our private Uttoxeter Eye Hospital team. This zero-hour contract offers flexible shifts and the opportunity to work across the ophthalmic theatre.

You will be registered as a General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current NMC/ODP registration, and you will bring at least one year of theatre experience, ideally in private settings.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum one year theatre experience.
• Knowledge of private and operating theatre settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standards of patient care within ophthalmic theatre.
• Work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists for diagnostics, pre‑assessment and post‑operative care.

The Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Previous experience in an Theatre, minimum of one year
• Have knowledge in private and operation settings.
