Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare in Guildford is recruiting a Bank Scrub Nurse to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering ophthalmic diagnostics, pre-assessment and post-operative care to patients in a private setting.

You will work on a temporary, part-time basis, with NMC/ODP registration, theatre experience and knowledge of private and operating theatre environments; salary is £21.00 to £32.00 per hour, with a closing date 28 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Theatre experience required, minimum one year.
• Knowledge of private and operating theatre settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of care to ophthalmic patients.
• Deliver diagnostics, pre-assessment and post-operative care.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

The Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need

• Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
• Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
• Previous experience in an Theatre, minimum of one year
• Have knowledge in private and operation settings.
