Are you a Theatre Practitioner seeking flexible shifts?

We are recruiting flexible Theatre Practitioners to join our bank as we expand across the UK!

About the Role

The Theatre Practitioner will focus on patient-centered care, managing the entire pathway from pre-admission to post-operative care.

You will be experienced in preoperative assessment, diagnostics, and theatre scrub, following AfPP good practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to patients, friends, and families, establishing a compassionate environment
  • Prepare clinical areas for procedures
  • Assist surgeons in ophthalmic care delivery
  • Manage patient admission and discharge
  • Demonstrate a passion for delivering quality care and a proactive learning attitude
  • Exhibit effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively within a team
Qualifications
  • Previous ophthalmic theatre experience is required
  • Relevant professional development, evidenced by certification (RN with NMC registration or ODP with HCPC registration)
  • Up-to-date knowledge in ophthalmic practice
  • Proficiency in PC and software systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
