Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Marlow is seeking a Bank Nursery Practitioner to provide flexible, casual support across the nursery. You will cover holidays, support busy periods, and help ensure continuity for children in a warm, caring environment.

This role offers zero-hours flexibility, with shifts Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm, and benefits such as enhanced holiday pay and perks like Perkbox and Blue Light Card eligibility. Experience in Early Years is valued but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children and colleagues across the nursery as needed.
• Cover holidays and busy periods to provide consistency for children.
• Help bring stories and activities to life for the children.
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued and confident to explore.

Pay: £12.71 - £14.53per Hour based on experience. Plus an additional 13.54% accrued holiday pay entitlement.

Hours: Flexible zero hours contract. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts or more regular work, opportunities are available Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm depending on nursery needs.

Where You'll Be Working

At Marlow, we take great pride in our newly refurbished nursery, which has been meticulously designed and equipped to cater to the unique needs and developmental stages of each age group. Marlow comes with the enhancement of Forest School, Cookery and Organic food, all delivered in a Montessori inspired way that fosters strong connections between children and the world around them. We are thrilled to announce that our renovation project has been successfully completed in 2024. This comprehensive overhaul encompassed a complete redesign of the interior spaces and external spaces, an upgrade to our facilities, and an overall enhancement of the learning environment. What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Bank Nursery Team, you’ll support children and colleagues across the nursery as and when needed -whether that’s covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support.

No two days are ever quite the same -and that’s part of the joy.

One moment you could be building dens outdoors and the next you’ll be helping bring story time to life.

You’ll support children through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection while helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore.

What We’re Looking For

Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting, aLevel 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

We’re looking for people with big hearts, curious minds, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
