Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking Bank Staff to support Engineering teaching with a fabrication and welding focus. This ad hoc role involves formal teaching, marking, and maintaining college records, with duties aligned to the programme against planned assessments.

Applicants should hold a degree in the subject, a recognised teaching qualification, Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications, and prior teaching experience. The position offers hourly pay and flexible ad hoc hours.

Qualifications

  • Full recognised teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification.
  • Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification.
  • Successful teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments. To include the preparation of learning materials, students' assignments and to support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self-directed study.
  • Marking of students' work and examinations, internal moderation and verification, as part of the team.
  • To work alongside colleagues in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme.
  • To manage and maintain appropriate College records and quality systems to ensure high performance.

Bank Staff - Lecturer in Engineering

Wirral Met College are currently looking for Lecturer's in Engineering to support our team on an ad hoc basis. We are looking for candidates with a fabrication and welding specialism.

Bank staff are paid at an hourly rate.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
  • To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments. To include the preparation of learning materials, students' assignments and to support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self-directed study.
