Job summary

Cygnet Group are hiring a Bank Kitchen Assistant at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury to support safe, clean, and healthy meals for residents. You can pick up shifts around your availability, providing cover for annual leave, sickness, and training at the West Midlands site.

The role involves basic food preparation, cooking tasks, washing and storing dishes, stock checks, and maintaining high hygiene standards under COSHH policies. DBS checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
