Job summary

Doonbank House Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe and well organised kitchen. This is a hands-on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation, working closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly day to day.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
