Job summary

Doonbank Care Home in Scotland is seeking a friendly Care Assistant on a Bank contract to support residents with daily living and wellbeing. You will work as part of a supportive team, following care plans and providing dignity, respect and personalised care.

The role suits both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, ongoing guidance and development. PVG is paid, and uniforms are provided to support your start.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, mobility and nutrition.
• Support residents’ emotional wellbeing and dignity; follow care plans.
• Maintain safety and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Work as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Located in the heart of Patna, Doonbank Care Home provides personalised nursing and residential care for up to 36 residents, promoting small group living in a warm, family-like setting. While thoughtfully equipped with all modern comforts, the home maintains a sense of calm and unhurried tranquility—ensuring every resident feels relaxed, supported, and truly at home. Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
