As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care home's kitchen.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Chefs in planning and providing high-quality meals that meet residents' nutritional and dietary requirements
• Planning, preparing, and serving balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• Ensuring all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe work methods are always used
• Managing stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• Maintaining accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements, such as fridge temperature checks
