Agincare in Dursley seeks a chef/cook to join our care home kitchens. You will plan menus, accommodate dietary requirements, and lead daily kitchen operations and hygiene to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

The role supports ongoing dietary needs, themed days, and collaborative menu ideas with the home team. This is a bank contract requiring weekend/weekday availability between 7am–4pm.

Formación

• Must have 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Experience in professional kitchens and running a kitchen.
• IDDSI knowledge or ability to support dietary needs is desirable.

• A background within kitchens and understanding of how to run a professional kitchen
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.
• Please note that this is a bank contract
• Must be flexible to work weekends and/or during the week when needed between the hours of 7am-4pm

A day in the life of a Cook

• Menu planning -Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.
• Understanding dietary needs - You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our resident's specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.
• Kitchen Management -You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day to day running of stock management and hygiene standards
