Job summary

Advinia Health Care is seeking a dedicated cleaner to join our care home team. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards across bedrooms, corridors and public areas, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role offers a supportive team, comprehensive induction and ongoing training, plus benefits including a pension and a flexible pay system. No prior experience required as full induction is provided.

Qualifications

• Role is physically demanding but motivating.
• Experience in cleaning or care environments is beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards.
• Willingness to undergo DBS/PVG check as part of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, corridors and public areas to required standard.
• Daily cleaning tasks including waste disposal, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Clean dining rooms, lounges and lavatories; wipe taps and sinks.
• Polish mirrors; dust handrails, furniture and windowsills weekly.
• Restock toiletries and towels; keep storage areas tidy and stocked.

Your Duties...

• Ensuring sections of bedrooms, corridor and public areas are kept clean and tidy to the
• required standard.
• Daily Cleaning (including but not limited to):
• Emptying waste bins and wiping out.
• Vacuuming throughout and mopping
• Cleaning dining rooms / lounges / lavatories.
• Cleaning taps and sinks.
• Spot cleaning all floorings.
• Weekly Cleaning (including but not limited to):
• Polishing all mirrors.
• Dusting handrails and radiators.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and windowsills.
• Washingfloors.
• Dusting pictures.
• Dusting light bulbs and fittings.
• Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels etc. as and when required.
• Efficient and economical use of supplies provided.
• Assisting with Linen Room duties when requested.
• Keeping storage areas clean and tidy and stocked up at all times.
