Optimised Care Ltd. is recruiting a Bank Consultant General Surgeon to support The Bromsgrove Hospital.

This role offers flexible, sessional work around existing commitments, with no requirement for a full-time position. You will provide specialist consultations, assess patients and develop treatment plans, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure safe, effective care and an excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in General Surgery.
• Competence to practise independently within their clinical scope.
• Professional indemnity arrangements covering private practice.
• Commitment to continuing professional development, governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues and the wider clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist general surgical consultations and assessments.
• Develop investigation, diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Undertake surgical procedures within your recognised scope.
• Explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients clearly.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate with GPs.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.
• Adhere to governance, infection prevention and safety standards.
