Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking Bank Early Years Teaching Assistants to work across various primary schools in Blackburn and Accrington. You’ll support teachers, deliver high-quality lessons, and assist in both one-to-one and group settings to help pupils, particularly those with additional needs.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning), be able to work flexibly, and be willing to undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for education.
• Flexibility to work multiple days and at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, as well as support in group settings.
• Help create an inclusive and stimulating environment for early years learners.
• Manage classroom behaviour to support a positive, productive atmosphere.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to enhance student learning experiences.
