Job summary

Maryfield West Care Home, part of the Belsize Healthcare group, is seeking a Domestic Assistant in Aberdeen to help maintain clean, safe and welcoming living spaces for residents. You will clean rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, support laundry duties and ensure belongings are treated with care.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work both independently and with the team.

Job description

Located in the prestigious West End of Aberdeen City, our care home provides the highest standards of Nursing, Residential and Dementia Care for 25-residents.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
