Job summary

Shaw healthcare at Trenewydd Care Home in Brecon is seeking a Chef to prepare, cook and serve fresh meals for residents, following high nutrition and food-safety standards. Shift times are 07:30–15:30, on a bank basis with hours as/when needed in service.

Join the UK's largest employee-owned healthcare company and help deliver nourishing meals for residents. You will plan menus, manage stock within budget, and lead a small catering team while maintaining HACCP records and a clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• Preparing, cooking and serving meals for residents.
• Planning varied, nutritious menus.
• Supporting celebrations, themed events and special occasions with catering.
• Ordering stock within budget and company guidelines using approved suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate food safety records in line with HACCP requirements.
• Ensuring the kitchen meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Leading, motivating and supporting members of the catering team.
