Job Title: Cook at Hazelwood House

Priory Group Division

Salary: £12.79 per hour

Hours: Bank

Vacancy Type: Bank

Location: Hazelwood House is a 12-bedded low secure unit for adults with Mental Health & Learning Disabilities. It also features a one-bedded bespoke apartment.

As part of the Support Services team, our Cooks provide high-quality services to our service users through the creation, presentation, and delivery of meals.

What we’d like from you:

• Basic qualification in food hygiene
• Level 2 diploma in food hygiene or equivalent experience in catering
• Commitment to delivering high-quality service
• Excellent organizational skills

What is expected from you?

• Assist with menu creation, ensuring a nutritious, varied menu is available
• Ensure all food preparation complies with COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations
• Manage food budgets and stock, check deliveries, and store supplies appropriately
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas

Role Description:

We are seeking a confident individual with relevant experience in a similar-sized kitchen and qualifications in food hygiene, preparation, and cookery. This role offers good onward progression.
