Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bank Community Nursing Out of Hours Call Handler at Band 3. Based in Gloucester, this hourly paid role supports out-of-hours referrals, booking and canceling appointments, and handling calls with empathy and accuracy.

You’ll join a flexible bank workforce with shifts including evenings and weekends, offering NHS terms, supervision, and development opportunities within the Integrated Community Teams.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Evidence of continuing personal/professional development.
• NVQ 3 or working towards or can demonstrate experience to that level.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone referrals and provide call handling for out-of-hours community nursing.
• Book and cancel appointments and process related admin tasks.
• Maintain an excellent telephone manner to reassure patients and carers.
