Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Gloucestershire care home. You will motivate and mentor care staff, ensuring residents' clinical needs are met with professional, safe care and support.

Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends on a bank basis; shift pattern is 20:00–08:00. Requires an active NMC pin and evidence of CPD, with prior nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Valid, in date NMC pin without restrictions to practice.
• Evidence of recent clinical CPD.
• Experience as a nurse in a healthcare setting is essential; applications from newly qualified nurses will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care per individual care plans.
• Liaising with care home management, families, social workers and medical staff to meet needs.
• Administering and recording medications safely per policy.
• Monitoring residents' nutrition and hydration and updating plans as needed.
• Monitoring risks around pressure wounds and toilet output.
• Participating in and promoting resident activities.
