Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Bank Community Nursing Out of Hours Call Handlers to support Integrated Community Teams and ENDNS / Community Nursing Out of Hours Service. The role handles telephone referrals, bookings, processing batch mail, and admin tasks, with shifts including day/evening and weekends.

Experience in health care or busy call centres is preferred; excellent telephone manner and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Good general standard of education.
• Evidence of continuing personal/professional development.
• NVQ 3 or working towards or able to demonstrate to that level.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients, carers and staff.
• Provide frontline call handling and booking/cancelling appointments.
• Process referrals and perform related administration tasks.
• Work within Integrated Community teams and out of hours service.
