Spire Bushey Hospital is looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join their busy team. The successful candidate will provide an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards, and clinical requirements.

Duties and responsibilities:
  1. Plan, deliver, and evaluate pharmaceutical care to meet patients' health and well-being.
  2. Assess the health and well-being of patients with complex and changing needs related to their medicines.
  3. Plan, monitor, and evaluate the movement of medicines.
  4. Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups on complex, sensitive, and occasionally contentious issues in various situations.
  5. Lead others in developing knowledge, ideas, and work practices.
  6. Modify and structure data, information, computer records, and stock management documents.
  7. Develop personal knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of colleagues.
  8. Assist with research and development activities.
  9. Promote best practices in health, safety, and security.
  10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Promote equality, diversity, and rights of individuals.
  12. Recognize the risk of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand personal responsibility in their prevention and control, as agreed with the line manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent at the time of qualification.
  • Experience applying clinical reasoning skills to complex and varied patient needs.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy department.
  • Oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
