Job Role Description

Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bed specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for adult females. Conveniently located close to the M1 motorway, it is easily accessible for patients and colleagues who need access to the service. Our service offers specialised assessment and treatment to help patients return to local services or alternative appropriate accommodation. It comprises 2 female acute wards with 9 beds each and 1 female PICU ward with 10 beds.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Undertake the planning, preparation, and cooking of meals, taking into account any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
• Ensure operational standards comply with the company’s Food Safety policies, guidelines, and statutory regulations.
• Control stock efficiently and cost-effectively, including placing orders for food products and checking/reconciling deliveries.
• Monitor and adapt food production to minimize waste.
• Work within food safety standards and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
