Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Ealing is seeking a Bank Chef to cover ad hoc shifts across a seven-day rota, with shifts from 07:30 to 15:30. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals, including special diets, and liaise with nursing staff to meet patient dietary needs.

Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas, comply with health and safety regulations, and manage equipment per procedures while maintaining professional guest service.

Job description

Bank Chef post at Cygnet Hospital Ealing, filling ad hoc shifts to cover annual leave, sickness and training. The work centres on cooking and serving nutritional, balanced meals, including special diets, and keeping the kitchen and dining room clean and compliant with food hygiene rules. Shifts run from 07:30 to 15:30 across a seven-day rota, serving two wards for patients with eating or personality disorders. Candidates need a food hygiene certificate and a catering qualification, and an enhanced DBS check applies.

What’s required

Experience

• Excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
• Able to work on own initiative, in a team and under supervision
• Polite and professional with a positive attitude to internal and external guests
