Job summary

RGIT Australia in Leeds is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to join our busy kosher kitchen and café team. The role combines food preparation, café service, cleaning and customer support in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for reliable, patient, and team-oriented individuals who enjoy working across kitchen and cleaning duties. We offer full training and opportunities to work at events, with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, kitchens, or café work is helpful but not essential.
• Full training will be provided.
• A positive, can-do attitude and reliability are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of meals, salads and catering items.
• Support food service in the café and at functions/events.
• Set up and clear tables before and after service.
• Operate the till (POS system) and process customer orders.
• Provide friendly and patient customer service.
• Keep kitchen, café and service areas clean and tidy.
• Wash dishes and maintain hygiene standards.
• Sweep and mop floors and ensure areas are spotless.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishing supplies.
• Help with catering and functions as required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with preparation of meals, salads and catering items
• Supporting food service in the café and at functions/events
• Setting up and clearing tables before and after service
• Operating the till (POS system) and processing customer orders
• Providing excellent, friendly and patient customer service
• Keeping kitchen, café, and service areas clean and tidy at all times
• Washing dishes, clearing tables, and maintaining hygiene standards
• Sweeping and mopping floors and ensuring all areas are spotless
• Helping with stock rotation and replenishing supplies
• Assisting with catering and functions as required
