Jewish Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals and hospitality services for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities

  • Assisting with basic food preparation.
  • Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and organised.
  • Supporting meal service and preparing dining areas.
  • Helping with hospitality and special events.
  • Working closely with chefs and front-of-house teams; reliable and hardworking.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of a high-quality catering service, helping to provide nutritious meals and excellent hospitality for residents, visitors and colleagues. Working as part of a friendly kitchen team, you will assist with food preparation, serving meals and refreshments, maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. You will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience that supports the health, wellbeing and independence of older people and other individuals who use our care homes and community services.
