Job summary

Cygnet has a national network of high-quality specialist mental health services. Woodrowe House in Markfield, near Leicester, provides complex care for neurological conditions.

We are recruiting Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistants to support residents in care home or home care settings on an ad-hoc basis. You will help with personal activities, meals, and daily routines, maintain records, participate in training, and work as part of a caring team.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Care experience or willingness to train in compassionate support.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal activities (washing, dressing, toileting) per care plans.
• Encourage participation in activities and respect residents' choices.
• Maintain a tidy, clean environment and assist with meals.
• Contribute to effective team communication and attend meetings as needed.
• Protect confidentiality and data in all aspects of the home.
• Participate in mandatory training and adhere to home policies.
• Record up-to-date information in care plans and reports.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in their recovery and daily activities within care home or home care settings at Woodrowe House.

Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield. We specialise in complex care and treatment for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs.

We are looking for Bank staff to work on an ad-hoc basis.

Your day-to-day…

• To support and enable residents with personal activities (such as washing/bathing, dressing, toileting) as part of their day to day care and in line with written care plans, personal goals and wishes.
• To be driven by resident’s needs and wishes in supporting and enabling their participation in activities and pursuits of their choice.
• Maintain a tidy and clean environment
• To support residents, as per their care plans, to prepare, eat/drink, clear away meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help to ensure effective communication throughout the team, by participating in meetings and bringing to the attention of a senior staff member anything that may have significant effect on the well‑being of residents.
• To ensure confidentiality and data protection is maintained in all respects whether concerning, residents, staff members or the business of the home.
• Participate in training events, some of which are mandatory.
• To adhere to all policies and procedures within the home.
• Maintain working knowledge of resident care plans.
• Recognise the need for action in any event where a resident may be at risk of harm and raise the matter immediately with a senior member of staff.
• Comply with the home’s requirements regarding effective documentation.
