Job summary

Cygnet is recruiting a compassionate Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistant to support residents at Woodrowe House in Markfield, near Leicester. You will assist with personal care and daily activities, following care plans to promote independence and wellbeing.

Join a multidisciplinary team at a neurological complex care service that provides tailored support across short and longer-term needs. DBS check will be required; training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support roles preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and promote resident independence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal activities (washing, dressing, toileting) per care plans.
• Support participation in activities and adapt to residents' needs.
• Maintain a tidy, clean environment and assist with meals and hydration.
• Support effective communication within the team and raise issues to seniors.
• Maintain confidentiality and data protection in all respects.
• Participate in mandatory training and adhere to home policies.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in their recovery and daily activities within care home or home care settings at Woodrowe House. Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield. We specialise in complex care and treatment for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs. We are looking for Bank staff to work on an ad-hoc basis.

• To support and enable residents with personal activities (such as washing/bathing, dressing, toileting) as part of their day to day care and in line with written care plans, personal goals and wishes.
• To be driven by residents needs and wishes in supporting and enabling their participation in activities and pursuits of their choice.
• Maintain a tidy and clean environment
• To support residents, as per their care plans, to prepare, eat/drink, clear away meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help to ensure effective communication throughout the team, by participating in meetings and bringing to the attention of a senior staff member anything that may have significant effect on the well-being of residents.
• To ensure confidentiality and data protection is maintained in all respects whether concerning, residents, staff members or the business of the home.
• Participate in training events, some of which are mandatory.
• To adhere to all policies and procedures within the home.
• Maintain working knowledge of resident care plans.
• Recognise the need for action in any event where a resident may be at risk of harm and raise the matter immediately with a senior member of staff.
• Comply with the homes requirements regarding effective documentation.
