Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a compassionate Care Rehabilitation Assistant for Woodrowe House, a neurological complex care service near Leicester in Markfield. The role involves supporting residents with daily activities, following individual care plans, and promoting independence in a caring home or home-care setting.

We operate a 2-week rolling shift pattern (midweek 08:00–20:00 and long week 08:00–20:00). Successful applicants will join a clinically focused team and will undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care activities per care plans.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal activities (washing, dressing, toileting) per care plans.
• Encourage participation in activities and individual goals.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment and assist with meals.
• Follow policies, confidentiality and data protection requirements.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in their recovery and daily activities within care home or home care settings at Woodrowe House. Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield. We specialise in complex care and treatment for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs. We work on a 2-week rolling shift pattern, consisting of a short week working Wednesday and Thursday 08:00am-20:00pm and a long week working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 08:00am-20:00pm.

Your day-to-day

• To support and enable residents with personal activities (such as washing/bathing, dressing, toileting) as part of their day to day care and in line with written care plans, personal goals and wishes.
• To be driven by residents needs and wishes in supporting and enabling their participation in activities and pursuits of their choice.
• Maintain a tidy and clean environment
• To support residents, as per their care plans, to prepare, eat/drink, clear away meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help to ensure effective communication through out the team, by participating in meetings and bringing to the attention of a senior staff member anything that may have significant effect on the well-being of residents.
• To ensure confidentiality and data protection is maintained in all respects whether concerning, residents, staff members or the business of the home.
• Participate in training events, some of which are mandatory.
• To adhere to all policies and procedures within the home.
• Maintain working knowledge of resident care plans.
• Recognise the need for action in any event where a resident may be at risk of harm and raise the matter immediately with a senior member of staff.
• Comply with the homes requirements regarding effective documentation.
