Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking compassionate Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistants to support residents in Woodrowe House, Leicester, Markfield. The role involves helping with personal care, meals, and daily activities within care or home care settings, following care plans and ensuring confidentiality.

Successful candidates will join a supportive team, participate in mandatory training, and benefit from flexible overtime options in a residential neurological care setting. DBS check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Experience in supporting residents with personal activities in line with care plans.
• Ability to work ad-hoc shifts as bank staff.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal activities (washing, dressing, toileting) according to care plans.
• Assist residents with meals and hydration as per plans.
• Maintain a tidy, clean environment and ensure confidentiality.
• Support resident participation in activities and personal goals.
• Communicate effectively with the team and report concerns to a senior member.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Care Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in their recovery and daily activities within care home or home care settings at Woodrowe House.

Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield. We specialise in complex care and treatment for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs.

We are looking for Bank staff to work on an ad-hoc basis.

Your day-to-day

• To support and enable residents with personal activities (such as washing/bathing, dressing, toileting) as part of their day to day care and in line with written care plans, personal goals and wishes.
• To be driven by resident's needs and wishes in supporting and enabling their participation in activities and pursuits of their choice.
• Maintain a tidy and clean environment
• To support residents, as per their care plans, to prepare, eat/drink, clear away meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help to ensure effective communication throughout the team, by participating in meetings and bringing to the attention of a senior staff member anything that may have significant effect on the well-being of residents.
• To ensure confidentiality and data protection is maintained in all respects whether concerning, residents, staff members or the business of the home.
• Participate in training events, some of which are mandatory.
• To adhere to all policies and procedures within the home.
• Maintain working knowledge of resident care plans.
• Recognise the need for action in any event where a resident may be at risk of harm and raise the matter immediately with a senior member of staff.
• Comply with the home's requirements regarding effective documentation.
