Job summary

Loveday & Co is seeking a Care Assistant to support members in our luxury care settings in London. You will help maintain independence and dignity while following Personal Care Plans, providing compassionate, personalised care daily.

You will work with the nursing team to deliver warm, hospital‑level hospitality and ensure safety and wellbeing through meticulous documentation and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to members, supporting independence and dignity according to Personal Care Plan.
• Assist washing, showering, bathing and dressing.
• Promote continence and assist with toileting, mobility and food and fluid intake.
• Use moving and handling equipment and mobility aids as required.
• Provide ongoing support to members, their family and the nursing team.
• Demonstrate understanding of each member’s life story, preferences and routines to deliver personalised care.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and engagement for members including those with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Loveday’s digital care systems and escalate concerns to the nurse or manager.
• Promote safeguarding, report concerns, and uphold transparency and duty of candour.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Deliver care with five‑star hospitality, professional presentation and service etiquette.
• Work with all departments to create a seamless, enriching member experience.

Scope

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our members' well‑being and independence, regardless of the setting, which includes both traditional care homes and specialised rehabilitation facilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to members by supporting and promoting their independence, choice, dignity, and overall well‑being, in alignment with each member’s Personal Care Plan.
• Assisting Washing, Showering, Bathingand Dessing
• Promoting continence and also assisting with toileting, mobility, food and fluid intake
• Use of moving and handling equipment, wheelchairs and any specific mobility aid required by a member
• Providing ongoing support for the members, their family and supporting the Nursing team.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of each member’s life story, preferences and routines to deliver truly individualised care.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and meaningful engagement, particularly for members living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within Loveday’s digital care systems and promptly escape concerns to the nurse or manager.
• Actively promote safeguarding, report concerns immediately, and uphold Loveday’s commitment to transparency and duty of candour.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times to maintain a safe environment for members, visitors and colleagues.
• Deliver care with five‑star hospitality standards, including professional presentation, courteous communication and exceptional service etiquette.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to create a seamless, enriching experience for members.
