Job summary

Loveday is the UK's leading provider of luxury senior living and care, with residences in Kensington, Belgravia and Abbey Road. We are seeking a Care Assistant to support our members across traditional care homes and rehabilitation facilities.

You will promote independence, dignity and wellbeing, following each member's Personal Care Plan and collaborating with the Nursing team. The role emphasizes emotional support, dementia-friendly engagement, accurate documentation and safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Provide direct care to members by supporting and promoting their independence, choice, dignity, and overall well-being, in alignment with each member's Personal Care Plan.
  • Assisting Washing, Showering, Bathingand Dessing
  • Promoting continence and also assisting with toileting, mobility, food and fluid intake
  • Use of moving and handling equipment, wheelchairs and any specific mobility aid required by a member
  • Providing ongoing support for the members, their family and supporting the Nursing team.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of each member's life story, preferences and routines to deliver truly individualised care.
  • Provide emotional support, reassurance and meaningful engagement, particularly for members living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within Loveday's digital care systems and promptly escape concerns to the nurse or manager.
  • Actively promote safeguarding, report concerns immediately, and uphold Loveday's commitment to transparency and duty of candour.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times to maintain a safe environment for members, visitors and colleagues.
  • Deliver care with five-star hospitality standards, including professional presentation, courteous communication and exceptional service etiquette.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to create a seamless, enriching experience for members.
