Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts at The Coombs in Gloucestershire. The role involves providing companionship, personal care, medication support, meals, light domestic tasks, mobility assistance, and facilitating social activities within the home.

The position is a bank role with flexible day and weekend shifts, offering opportunities for training up to QCF level 5 and staff benefits including a blue light discount and pension scheme.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• This is a bank position so you must be flexible to work day and weekend shifts as and when required

Responsibilities

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care - supporting with a wash, bath or shower and assisting with dressing and oral care
• Medication - Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home

A day in the life of a Care Assistant
