Job summary

Lloyd's Register International in Ipswich is seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to deliver personalised care and support to people with mental health needs at 248 Sidegate Lane, Ipswich IP4 3DH.

You will assist with daily living tasks, support with personal hygiene, and help arrange appointments while promoting a caring environment. Training and development opportunities are available as part of our support for staff.

Qualifications

• Personalised approach to care; ideally experience supporting people with mental health needs.
• Enthusiastic and flexible approach.
• Strong organisational skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills to build strong relationships with customers.
• Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care and support, helping customers live as independently as possible.
• Support with washing, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Assist with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Help customers arrange and attend appointments.
• Promote a positive culture by engaging with customers and reducing social isolation.
• Keep accurate records and follow safe practices, including risk assessments.

Your role
