Job summary

Renford Recruitment Ltd in the Stourbridge area is seeking a Bandsaw Operator with Overhead Crane experience to join a busy steel manufacturing team on a permanent basis after a successful trial. You will operate bandsaws to cut carbon steels, load and unload with an overhead crane, follow job sheets, inspect cuts for accuracy, and help with general engineering tasks when needed.

Hours: Mon-Thu 07:45-16:45, Fri 07:45-15:45.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bandsaws is essential.
• Overhead crane experience is essential.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable, team-focused and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate bandsaws to cut carbon steels.
• Load and unload materials using an overhead crane.
• Follow set cutting instructions and job sheets.
• Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with general engineering tasks when required.
• Perform basic machine checks and routine upkeep.
