Job summary

ASC Connections is seeking a Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator in the Wolverhampton area for a temporary assignment. The role involves operating overhead cranes, loading and unloading steel coils, and handling materials in a busy steel facility.

You will also drive a counterbalance forklift, use c-hooks and coil tongs, and band/palletise processed steel. Working mornings with overtime available; full shift 6:00am–2:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience operating overhead cranes in a steel/industrial setting.
• Ability to drive a counterbalance forklift safely.
• Experience handling steel coils and similar materials.

Job description

A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator is required for an internationally trading steel company based in the Wolverhampton area on a temporary basis.

If you have experience within the steel industry this material handling steel operative / overhead crane operator position could be ideal for you. You will be responsible for operating overhead cranes, driving counterbalance forklift trucks, loading / unloading steel coils and more.

• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
• Driving counterbalance forklift trucks
• Loading and unloading steel coils
• Using crane attachments including c-hooks and coil tongs
• Banding, stacking and palletising processed steel

This Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator position is working mornings with flexibility to work overtime if required.

Working: 6:00am - 2.00pm, Monday to Friday & overtime available

Paying £14.59 per hour + bonuses

Temporary to start, with a view to being extended
