Job summary

Renford Recruitment Ltd in the Stourbridge area is seeking a Bandsaw Operator with Overhead Crane experience to join a busy steel manufacturing team on a permanent basis after a successful trial. You will operate bandsaws to cut carbon steels, load and unload with an overhead crane, follow job sheets, inspect cuts for accuracy, and help with general engineering tasks when needed.

Hours: Mon-Thu 07:45-16:45, Fri 07:45-15:45.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bandsaws is essential.
• Overhead crane experience is essential.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable, team-focused and safety-conscious.

We are looking for a Bandsaw Operator with Overhead Crane experience in the Stourbirdge area of Birmingham to join a busy team in the steel manufacturing industry. This will be a permanent position after a successful trial period.

• Immediate start for the right candidate

Duties

• Operating Bandsaw machinery to cut carbon steels
• Loading and unloading materials using an overhead crane
• Following set cutting instructions and job sheets
• Inspecting finished cuts for accuracy and quality
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Assisting with general engineering tasks during quieter periods
• Basic machine checks and routine upkeep (no advanced setting required)

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous experience operating Bandsaws (essential)
• Overhead Crane experience (essential)
• Good numeracy and literacy
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Reliable, teamfocused, and safetyconscious

Hours of Work:

• Monday - Thursday: 07:45 - 16:45
• Friday: 07:45 - 15:45

Rate of Pay:

• Starting from £12.87 per hour Depending on experience
• £17.15 per hour overtime after 41.5 hours
• £19.30 per hour Saturday overtime
