Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions - Northern Industrial in Stockport is seeking a Band Saw Operative to join the production team. This hands-on role involves cutting metal to customer specifications, operating overhead gantry cranes, and ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Working with the Foreman and production team, you will help maintain quality, housekeeping, and health and safety standards while meeting production targets in a busy processing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/steel processing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to read measurements and work to specifications.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Cut steel accurately using band saws and cold saws.
• Read cutting notes and process materials to specification.
• Store materials safely in designated locations and complete paperwork accurately.
• Conduct pre-use equipment inspections and report defects.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain housekeeping and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Complete quality checks with measuring equipment.
