Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Band 7 Stroke Speech and Language Therapist in Dundee to provide inpatient SLT cover in acute hospital services. The role involves delivering interventions in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, supporting acute medicine and surgical wards, and conducting dysphagia assessments.

The position offers up to 36 hours per week, with a daytime pattern (08:00–16:00), starting 21/09/2026 and ending 18/12/2026.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy is required.
HCPC registration is required.
Experience in acute hospital Speech and Language Therapy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient Speech and Language Therapy cover within acute hospital services.
Deliver specialist interventions within the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit.
Support acute medicine and surgical wards with expertise in communication and swallowing disorders.
Undertake and manage specialist dysphagia assessments.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to facilitate recovery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Maintain meticulous clinical records and reports.
Contribute to discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
