Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department in Glastonbury. You will provide urgent and critical care to patients with a range of medical emergencies, making quick decisions in a high-pressure environment.

The role requires a valid NMC registration, DBS clearance, and flexibility to work across days, nights and weekends. You will work with a supportive team and have access to a consulting clinician for guidance.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to work across nights, weekends and days.
• Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients on arrival and prioritising care by severity.
• Administering initial treatments and stabilising patients as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient condition.
• Support diagnostic tests and interpret results with the medical team.
• Administering medications and IV therapies as prescribed.

Job Title: Emergency Nurse Practitioner
Banding: Band 7
Location: Glastonbury
Rate: £26 - £45 per hour

As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life-saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.

Requirements:
