Job summary

Pulse Nursing in Chard, Somerset seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team. You will provide urgent and critical care, triage patients, and support physicians with rapid decision‑making.

We offer flexible shifts—full‑time, part‑time, and flexible arrangements—with a band 7 level and hourly rates of £26 to £46. A current NMC registration and DBS check are required, with support for DBS processing.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work across various shifts including nights, weekends and days.
• Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check; assistance available to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients on arrival and prioritising care by severity.
• Administering initial treatments and stabilising patients as needed.
• Monitoring vital signs and documenting patient status.
• Assisting clinicians with diagnostics and interpreting results.
• Administering medications and IV therapies as prescribed.

Job Title: Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) Banding: Band 7 Location: Chard, Somerset Rate: £26.00 - £46.00 per hour

As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP), you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life‑saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.

Requirements:
