Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic projects and transformation programmes across the organisation. The post holder will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation, ensuring delivery to agreed objectives, timescales, budgets and quality standards.

Working closely with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders, you will provide project leadership, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support the delivery of organisational priorities. You will oversee project planning, governance, risk and issue management, performance reporting and assurance processes, ensuring that projects remain on track and deliver measurable outcomes.

Main duties of the job

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation, facilitate decision-making, and influence positive change. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project documentation, monitoring progress against milestones, preparing reports for senior leadership and governance groups, and supporting the management of project dependencies and risks.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to programme planning, continuous improvement and the development of project management best practice. You will work independently, managing a portfolio of projects and providing expert project management advice and support to colleagues and senior stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with significant project management experience who is passionate about delivering sustainable improvements and driving organisational transformation within a complex and fast-paced healthcare environment.

Person specification
Education and qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • CCAB qualified accountant and or other CIMA qualified.
Knowledge
  • PRINCE2 or other structured methodology.
  • Project or change management best practice.
  • MS Office including MS Project.
  • CAPM.
Experience
  • Relevant experience of project Implementation
  • Experience in delivering improvement projects across various disciplines
  • Proven ability to prioritise and organise workload
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Experience at a management level.
  • Experience of working within a finance team.
