This video gives a flavour of what it is like to work at our Trust and why some of our staff love working here.
An exciting opportunity has arisen on Clementine A, which is a Care of the Elderly ward, for a Band 5 staff nurse post.
Clementine A is a 31 bedded ward which cares for patients over the age of 75 years, who are medically unwell. There is a small percentage of patients with Dementia and Delirium whose behaviour issues require staff with skills and understanding.
A good proportion of patients are at high risk of falls and at risk of developing pressure area damage. The applicant needs to have a good knowledge base around the needs of all of these.
The applicant will be expected to work closely with the MDT, Consultants and Specialist nurses. They need to demonstrate excellent communication and motivational skills in order to continue the excellent team work currently displayed on the ward. Expectations will include continuing with creating a ward that is supportive to all staff but particularly those that are new and junior and to also continue to develop an environment of quality and innovation, encouraging independent thinking and creativity.
Ensuring people settle in and feel part of our Trust straight away is one of our top priorities. We hold two corporate welcome events each month and, if successful, you will start on one of these days so we can provide you with a seamless and welcoming introduction to our Trust.
