Job summary
Our services include all the major specialties of large acute hospitals, operating from two main sites - King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic, and Harold Wood Polyclinic.
Queens Hospital has easy access to local bus routes and Romford station. Romford station is part of the Elizabeth line and central London can be easily accessed within 30 minutes. Westfield Stratford is also easily accessible on the Elizabeth line within 20 minutes giving you access to over 250 shops, 70 restaurants alongside cinemas and a bowling alley. There is also a large football stadium within the Olympic park that also holds international artists concerts.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Sister/charge nurse to come and join Amber A team . The wards speciality base is trauma and orthopaedics Queens hospital is a centralised trauma centre with a reginal neuro unit, so it is a busy hospital and you will gain a lot of experience.

Main duties of the jobTo provide a focused leadership role and manage the staff and activities of the ward or clinical area as a ward based leader.
To act as a role model, provide leadership and co-ordinate the ward team in the clinical area.
To demonstrate advanced clinical specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of individualised evidence based patient centred care while supervising the work of others (in line with local and national standards).
To be responsible for the ward/clinical area.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
