Role Overview

We are a busy Emergency Department, treating approximately 50,000 patients annually. We seek a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse to join our proactive and dynamic team.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified registered Children's Nurse with broad post-registration experience at Band 5 or above in ED nursing or general paediatrics
  • Mentorship qualification and child protection experience or qualification
  • Leadership skills and ability to contribute effectively in a busy environment
Responsibilities
  • Help develop the children's emergency care area within ED
  • Assess and initiate high-impact interventions supported by PGDs
  • Provide care as part of a paediatric nursing team, advocating for patients and families
  • Undertake further training in paediatric minor illnesses and injuries
  • Manage paediatric minor illnesses and injuries within scope, seeking support from senior clinicians as needed
