Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Radiographer to join the vascular imaging team at Luton and Dunstable Hospital. The role is rotational across vascular and other imaging areas with expansion of hybrid theatres and new imaging equipment.

The post involves contributing to interventional radiology and cardiac imaging, leading and mentoring radiographers and students, and working toward a 7-day service with flexible patterns. A competitive salary is offered.

Qualifications

• Proficient in general, fluoroscopy and theatre imaging techniques.
• Experience with vascular and interventional imaging.
• Ability to lead, train and supervise radiographers, students and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general, fluoroscopy and theatre imaging; include vascular and cardiac imaging where appropriate.
• Maintain patient safety and imaging quality; ensure irradiations are justified.
• Work on a rotational basis across vascular and other imaging specialities; participate in 7-day service with flexible patterns.
• Lead and train staff and students; monitor equipment and contribute to audits and quality control.
