Our trust has around 10,000 staff serving 1.6 million patients. It comprises Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital and more than 30 services in the community. This larger scale organisation provides an unprecedented opportunity for us to continue our pioneering work, particularly in finding ways to deliver even better care to our patients.
Our mission is to deliver world class care and expertise in our clinical services, underpinned by world class teaching and research and we will continue to measure our progress against our five governing objectives: excellent outcomes, excellent patient and staff experience, excellent value for taxpayers’ money, being safe and meeting our external duties, and building a strong organisation.
Everyone is welcome at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. We're proud of our diversity and we continue to undertake new initiatives to advance equality for LGBT+, BME, gender equality, staff carers and people with disabilities and lived experiences to promote good relations and understanding between our staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join the Radiology team at the Royal Free Hospital. This post would be well suited for an MRI radiographer wishing to develop and expand on their MRI experience.
Education and training are key elements of MRI competence and are prioritized within the department. Full training in MRI will be given, depending upon prior experience.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and a team and patient-centered approach to their work. They should enjoy working collaboratively and aspire to always provide the best possible care for our patients, whilst teaching and sharing their knowledge with others.
The post-holder will be working with other Band 6 and 7 MRI specialist Radiographers, MRI Trained Rotational radiographers, and Radiographic Assistants to deliver a 7-day service in the MRI Department at the Royal Free. They will develop specialized knowledge and expertise and produce high quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment, while demonstrating high standards of care.
The department actively encourages continued professional development (CPD), and opportunities are available for further training and development, in areas such as post graduate study, radiographer reporting and advanced practice.
Getting vaccinated, and getting a booster, remains the best defence against COVID-19. We encourage and support staff to get COVID-19 vaccine and a booster dose as and when they are eligible.
