Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking compassionate Paediatric Nurses to join our team and work within a prestigious Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS FT. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated nurses who are passionate about delivering outstanding care to children and young people in a supportive clinical environment.

We offer pay rates for PAYE (£21–£28.50 per hour) and Umbrella (£24–£32.50 per hour), with full-time, part-time and flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin.
• Paediatric nursing qualification (RN Child).
• Experience working in paediatric settings.
• Strong safeguarding and child‑focused care knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm in fast‑paced environments.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and young people.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and respond to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per Trust policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, therapists and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with children and families, offering reassurance and education.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety and infection control policies.

Pay rates range from £21 to £28.50 per hour on PAYE (Days £21, Nights/Saturdays £23, Sundays/Bank Holidays £28.50) and £24 to £32.50 per hour under Umbrella (Days £24, Nights/Saturdays £27, Sundays/Bank Holidays £32.50)

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin.
• Paediatric nursing qualification (RN Child).
• Previous experience working within a paediatric setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-focused care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
