Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 5 Accredited Clinical Coder based at Barnet Hospital. You will accurately code complex specialties to support healthcare planning, reimbursement, management of services, statistical analysis and research.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with a flexible working approach, offering site-based and remote options and opportunities for home working, with emphasis on data quality and professional development.

Qualifications

• Accredited Band 5 Clinical Coder
• Experience coding complex specialties
• Accurate data coding for statutory information and financial flows

Responsibilities

• Abstract and analyse clinical information and translate to coded form
• Meet clinical coding targets on completeness, timeliness and accuracy
• Provide guidance to junior coding staff in coding rules
• Represent coding department at multidisciplinary meetings and audits
