Job summary

Pulse Nursing is recruiting Band 5 Accident & Emergency Nurse (A&E) in Yeovil, Somerset. You will join the Emergency Department providing urgent and critical care with high-pressure decision making, triage, and rapid treatment in line with NMC standards.

We offer flexible full‑time or part‑time shifts to fit your commitments. Requirements include valid NMC registration and a current DBS check. Competitive hourly rate of £17.00–£29.00, with a £500 Refer a Friend bonus for eligible new hires.

• Valid NMC registration.
• Excellent interpersonal communication.
• Willingness to work across various shifts including nights, weekends and days.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing condition and prioritising care.
• Administering initial treatments and stabilising patients.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs and changes in condition.
• Assisting medical team with diagnostic tests and results.
• Administering medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.

Job Title: Accident & Emergency Nurse (A&E)
Banding: Band 5 Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Rate: £17.00 - £29.00 per hour

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team within the Yeovil area, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life‑saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration.
