Job summary

MPA Recruitment are actively recruiting for a Band 4 Children's Residential Support Worker in the North Down Area. This role involves caring for and supervising children and young people in a residential setting.

You will work with keyworkers to develop care plans, support one-to-one and group interventions, and collaborate with children’s services, health agencies and families to deliver effective care while adhering to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 education qualification in care (essential).
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a children’s residential setting.
• Registered with NISSC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council).
• Willingness to undertake in-house training.
• Enhanced Access NI check required yearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and supervision of children and young people.
• Work with keyworkers to develop care plans.
• Provide one-to-one or group interventions to identify needs and achieve positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with children’s services, health agencies and other community services to deliver effective support.
• Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.
