Job summary

5ab Care is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to care for and support children in a residential setting. You will help ensure safety, well-being and personal development while working in a team to implement care plans and records.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with driving license essential and DBS checks completed. Sleep-in rates and overtime enhance earnings in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.
• Encourage education, social and leisure activities.
• Develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Support daily routines for children and young people.
• Liaise with external agencies to ensure best outcomes.
